Based on the high demand for COVID vaccines, the county is establishing Super Point-of-Dispensing locations or "Super PODs." At this time, individual cities will not host vaccination sites separate from the Super PODs.

The Rancho Santa Margarita Library will close for refurbishment on Monday, December 7, 2020. While closed, patrons can access all other OC Public Libraries and be directed to pick up their holds at the Foothill Ranch Library.

Mayor Pro Tempore Tony Beall and Council Member Carol Gamble have won reelection, according to the unofficial results from the Orange County Registrar of Voters.
In Rancho Santa Margarita, two seats were up for four-year terms.
Mayor Pro Tempore Beall was first elected to office in 2004. Council Member Gamble was first elected to serve on the City's inaugural City Council in 2000.
