RSM Police Services would like to remind everyone that fireworks are illegal in the City of Rancho Santa Margarita.
While fireworks may be allowed and available for purchase in neighboring cities, their use is STRICTLY prohibited in our town. Yes, this includes the “Safe & Sane” variety, which can also cause fire or serious injury.
Calls for service throughout the county increase dramatically on July 4th, and emergency response resources are often stretched extremely thin. During the holiday weekend, please use 9-1-1 for EMERGENCIES ONLY.
