The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) has experienced declining bus ridership, and efforts are underway to reverse this trend and to build a bus system that meets current and future transportation needs.
OCTA is proposing to reduce bus service throughout the county, which could impact some bus routes that serve Rancho Santa Margarita.
Route 87 is proposed for elimination of in October of 2016. There are proposed changes to routes 82, 85 and 191 that may affect area riders.
OCTA has set public meetings to give residents the chance to provide feedback and may effect what changes are made.
