Southern California Edison will be conducting aerial inspections utilizing drones and/or helicopters throughout Orange County
Southern California Edison (SCE) will conduct inspections in the Rancho Santa Margarita area using drones and/or helicopters over the next few weeks as part of their wildfire prevention and mitigation program.
SCE inspectors use drones and helicopters to inspect equipment in hard-to-reach areas and from difficult angles. These operations focus on keeping our communities safe by inspecting electrical equipment on poles and towers and identifying any damage or potential hazards that may need immediate repair. The time it takes to conduct inspections varies depending on how much equipment is on each pole or tower (approximately 30 to 60 minutes).
