The American Red Cross faces the worst blood shortage in more than a decade. Several blood drives are scheduled in the weeks ahead in Rancho Santa Margarita.

The American Red Cross faces the worst blood shortage in more than a decade complicated by surging COVID-19 cases and winter weather. This shortage poses a concerning risk to patient care. 

Our community can assist in several ways, including scheduling an appointment to donate, asking a friend to donate, and helping get the message out. 

The following blood drives are scheduled in the RSM area:

1/31/22 The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Rancho Santa Margarita Stake - 30522 Via Con Dios 

2/6/22 San Francisco Solano Catholic Church - 22082 Antonio Parkway 

2/9/22 Tesoro High School - 1 Tesoro Creek 

2/17/22 Care and Share Blood Drive - 21601 via Regressos 

2/18/22 Avila at Rancho Santa Margarita - 22751 El Prado 

3/21/22 Starbucks 5755, Lowes Plaza - 30465 Avenida De Las Flores 

3/27/22 St. John's Episcopal Church - 30382 Via Con Dios
