[ARCHIVED] Anne Figueroa to serve as Mayor, Jerry Holloway as Mayor Pro Tempore for 2022

Anne Figueroa will serve as Mayor and Jerry Holloway as Mayor Pro Tempore for the 2022 term. City Council members made the 1-year appointments during their annual reorganization on Wednesday.

The City Council has selected Anne Figueroa as its mayor and Jerry Holloway as its mayor pro tem for 2022.

Each December, the council selects a new mayor and mayor pro tem from among its five members. Anne Figueroa was elected to the Rancho Santa Margarita City Council in November 2018. She served as a Rancho Santa Margarita Planning Commissioner for three years and served as Planning Commissioner Chair. 

Jerry Holloway was elected to the city council in 2002 and was mayor in 2005, 2010, and 2019.

The City Council will reconvene on January 12, 2022.
