The bridge work is substantially completed, and traffic will be returned to its preconstruction condition in approximately two weeks once the new concrete reaches its required strength. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-March
Removal of traffic controls and re-striping originally scheduled to occur in late January will now take place in mid-February. The concrete has not yet reached its maximum strength and therefore causes an unavoidable delay in the return of traffic flow to its former pre-construction status. While restoration work will take place during night hours to lessen the impact on commuters, traffic delays may occur. The City will advise motorists of the new date as it becomes available.
Median reconstruction, including replacement of trees and landscaping, will take place after re-striping.
Please remember, the speed limit in the construction zone is 45 mph.
Thank you for your patience as we conduct infrastructure improvements for the community, and please drive safely.
