The Rancho Santa Margarita Library closed for refurbishment on Monday, December 7, 2020, and is scheduled to reopen in June. While closed, patrons can access all other OC Public Libraries and are asked to pick up their holds at the Foothill Ranch Library.
The renovation process is to bring the buildings up to code and to meet current and future needs. Repairs are based on the OC Public Works Capital Improvement Program and the OCPL Facility Assessment Study and interior modifications will include desk remodel, new cabling, paint, carpet, lighting, improved energy efficiencies, programming space, some new shelving, and new furniture fixtures and equipment.
Barring any complications, OCPL should be on target to reopen the library in June.
