The City of Rancho Santa Margarita honors the members of our community and our adopted Marine Battalion on Veterans Day 2020
Virtual Veterans Day Recognition
For the past five years, the City of Rancho Santa Margarita has had the privilege of hosting veterans and their families at our Annual Veterans Day reception and recognition. Veterans Day is the day set aside to thank and honor all those who served honorably in the military.
While we cannot gather together this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are hosting a special modified recognition to pay tribute to our nation’s troops — past and present — and honor local veterans. The Veterans Day tribute is posted online for the community to view at their convenience. The presentation includes a special tribute featuring Squad Leaders from the City’s adopted 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines.
As a reminder, City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, in observance of the national holiday. The City Council will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020.
