[ARCHIVED] Meals on Wheels and Congregate Lunch Program Update

Age Well Senior Services logo

Age Well Senior Services programs at the Bell Tower Regional Community Center are temporarily suspended. Plans are in place for Meals on Wheels and Congregate Lunch participants.

In south Orange County, nine of the senior sites where Age Well Senior Services provides lunch meals are now closed for an indefinite time. All lunch participants were contacted by phone and offered a multi-pack of frozen meals to pick up on any of three days during the week. For home-delivered meals, Age Well is changing distribution from five days a week to a one-day delivery of five meals.

Before the coronavirus crisis began altering services, Age Well was serving hot lunches to about 780 people a week and delivering meals to another 610. For more information, go to https://agewellseniorservices.org  or myagewell.org.

Age Well Senior Services Message To our community:

In light of COVID-19 and at the recommendation of Governor Gavin Newsom, we have decided to temporarily close all Age Well Senior Sites. This decision has weighed heavily on us, as the safety, health & wellbeing of our senior community is at the core of this organization.

While our sites may be closed, we have worked to ensure all recipients of Meals on Wheels will be receiving their food deliveries, with minor amendments, but no disruption. In times like these, we must band together to support and ensure the safety of our most vulnerable, and frankly, most lovable.

Our community needs more support than ever, please consider making a contribution today.

For further questions, please call us at (949) 855-8033. Thank you for being a part of the Age Well Senior Services family.
