Update from Chief of Police Services Lt. Ron Kennedy, Orange County Sheriff's Department
On Friday, February 12, shortly after 11:00 a.m. Orange County Sheriff's Department (OCSD)deputies responded to the neighborhood near Santa Margarita and San Sebastian to investigate four subjects attempting entry into a residence. At this point it does not look like they were able to enter any homes.
The deputies apprehended one suspect but three more fled resulting in an exhaustive search of the area, as well as adjacent neighborhoods in Mission Viejo. Multiple deputies, K9 handlers, and the helicopter participated in the search.
