The Rancho Santa Margarita City Council, at their regular meeting on January 27, directed staff to release the Request for Proposals for Development Consultant Services for the Potential Development of the 92-Acre Chiquita Ridge Open Space Property.
Based on the analysis provided in March 2014 by Developers Research, Inc. regarding alternative development scenarios and a financial impact analysis in connection with the potential future development of the City-owned 92-acre site commonly known as Chiquita Ridge, the City Council directed staff to develop a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Development Consultant Services. Staff prepared a draft RFP which was reviewed by the City Council on August 12, 2015 and October 14, 2015. Based on the feedback received from the City Council, a single project manager with significant experience and expertise in commercial and municipal development is sought to advise and assist the City to establish and implement a strategy for planning, disposition, and potential development of the Chiquita Ridge Open Space property in accordance with the terms of a prior Settlement Agreement with the County of Orange and in the best interest of the City and the community at-large.
Responses will be accepted through Monday, March 21 at 4:00 p.m. For more information, please visit the Chiquita Ridge Development page. All inquiries should be directed to Cheryl Kuta, Development Services Director, at 949-635-1800, ext. 6707.
