[ARCHIVED] SMWD Water Festival

2018 SMWD Water Festival logo

May is Water Awareness Month; to celebrate, the Santa Margarita
Water District (SMWD) hosts this Free community event each year.

May is Water Awareness Month! Santa Margarita Water District is celebrating with its annual, family-friendly Water Festival on May 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Everyone will enjoy a fun-filled day and gain a better understanding of what we do every day to deliver safe, clean water to our customers. There will be information on innovative projects the District is undertaking to ensure a reliable water supply, water-efficient landscaping, and other ideas for a water-wise lifestyle.

The District will also offer tours of one of its major facilities to give customers a close-up look at where our water comes from and how we’re working to make sure—every day--water is there when you want it and there when you need it.

Other activities include bounce houses, leak detection displays, native plant exhibits, vintage firetruck rides, reptiles, face painting, free food, and much more!
