New Mayor, Mayor Pro Tempore selected to serve Rancho Santa Margarita

The City Council on Wednesday, December 9 selected L. Anthony Beall as Mayor and Carol A. Gamble as Mayor Pro Tempore for 2016 during its annual reorganization. The terms are effective immediately. This is the fifth mayoral term for Beall, who was first elected to office in 2004. Voters elected Gamble to the inaugural City Council in 2000.

Outgoing Mayor Brad McGirr was honored for his service on the City Council during this past year.

The City Council meets at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 22112 El Paseo.
