Update regarding stabbing incident on Monday, August 7th.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department recognizes and appreciates the level of concern by the residents of Rancho Santa Margarita after hearing the news report of a stabbing incident that occurred last night.   I assure you that the Sheriff’s Department is investigating this incident fully.  We believe it is an isolated incident, but are looking at all possibilities.  The victims experienced non-life-threatening injuries, but have not been able to provide a detailed description of the suspects.  We are seeking any witnesses or video surveillance of this incident which took place near the intersection of Milagro and Los Alamos at just before midnight last night (August 7th).  If you have any information please contact Inv. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding while we conduct a complete and thorough investigation.  In the meantime, patrolling deputies are vigilant in looking for any suspicious activity or persons.
