Flood channels should be avoided in the event of rain. Call 2-1-1 for assistance.
With rain forecasted within the next 48-72 hours, the County reminds everyone to stay out of the flood channels - including the Santa Ana River - which can be life-threatening during storm events. The County’s storm preparations include efforts to notify and assist the homeless community through a coordinated effort with multiple agencies including Orange County Public Works, OC Health Care, Sheriff’s Department, local cities, and non-profit organizations including 211 OC. 211 OC has a 24-hour phone line to provide regional connections to resources for disaster victims, the homeless, and others needing health and human services. Simply call 2-1-1 or visit 211OC.org.
