Business Watch
Rancho Santa Margarita Police Services is committed to working in partnership with our local businesses to prevent crime. Modeled after the widely recognized Neighborhood Watch program, Business Watch encourages businesses to work together and with law enforcement to prevent crime in the business community. This cooperative program is successful because owners and employees watch out for each other, share information on emerging crime trends, and help develop crime prevention strategies. Together we can make a successful crime-fighting team.
Becoming a registered member of the Business Watch program is easy and free for all businesses in the city. Listed below are some of the benefits of the Business Watch program.
Prompt Notification in an Emergency
Every participating business receives a Business Watch sticker with an assigned number that can help our deputies locate important contact information for the business in the case of an emergency.
Crime Alert Bulletins
Registering with Business Watch allows us to quickly distribute crime alert bulletins and other information to your business. Bulletins are emailed directly to participating businesses.
Information and Training Seminars
Business Watch members will be invited to periodic crime prevention seminars where they can receive information on current trends, share information with other business owners, and receive crime prevention education from Police Services personnel, including patrol deputies, investigators, traffic enforcement, and others.
