College-Student Work Experience Program
Volunteer during your summer break and join City of Rancho Santa Margarita staff for this four-week program. This non-paid volunteer program introduces college students to City functions. Students will participate in a hourly introductory lesson to different departments each day, followed by three hours of hands-on experience. Student volunteers will be assigned duties and projects throughout the program to familiarize them with various professions. The casual working environment provides student volunteers with an opportunity to explore careers in local government. At the end of the program students should have a better understanding of the exciting functions and roles that exist in city government.

All volunteer work takes place at the City of Rancho Santa Margarita Civic Plaza - 22112 El Paseo, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688.

REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for the student volunteer program, student must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university. Transcript copies will be requested as part of the application process. Student volunteers must commit to attending all eight days. Student volunteers are not paid, but will receive materials, and refreshments as part of the program.
